Health And Fitness

There are free 24/7 Staff Fitness Hubs available to all staff at North Shore and Waitakere Hospitals. To access the Fitness Hubs, you will need to sign the Staff Fitness Hub Membership Form and Staff Fitness Hub Waiver Form and take these to our Security Service to have your staff ID card activated for these sites. These forms are available through the Staff intranet ion the Occupational Health and Safety Service page.

Human Resources can provide confidential advice if you are experiencing problems at work; advise on compensastion, benefits and bonuses in liaison with Payroll; carry out performance evaluation and management; work with you on career development options, plus much more.

Identification/access cards

All employees are expected to wear staff photo identification (ID) cards when on-site.
Your ID/Access card allows you access to some 'employee only areas within the hospital, and to some car parks.

To apply for your card:

  • Complete the online booking link and fill out the access request form and ensure it is signed by your manager (forms can also be found on the security intranet site).
  • Once you have booked your appointment time and take your signed form, along with the photo identification such as drivers licence or passport, to security services at your allocated time:
  • The location of offices are shown on the site maps linked here – Waitakere Hospital or North Shore Hospital.

If you lose your ID card you must inform Security Services immediately. If you forget to bring it to work, Security next to ED at both sites will allocate a temporary card in exchange for your drivers license or car keys - this will be valid for the duration of your shift.
